Samsung introduced the I7500 - the first phone based on Android


South Korean company Samsung Electronics introduced its first device-based mobile platform Google Android.



The device has a 3.2-inch touch screen AMOLED-standard communication and support HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi. Samsung I7500 provides access to such services, Google, as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar and Google Talk.





There is a built GPS-receiver, which allows full use of Google Maps - features My Location, Google Latitude, Street View, search the area, as well as construction and a detailed description of the route.



With the application Wikitude you can get information about unknown places by means of articles in the encyclopedia Wikipedia.



The unit also has on board a 5-MP camera, up to 40 GB of memory and battery capacity 1500mAch. All this is enclosed in a thin and compact body just 11.9 mm thick.



Sales in the European market of novelty will be in June.
